Job summary

They are looking for a creative, high energy partner marketing leader that will effectively develop and administer joint marketing plans with technology partners, global system integrators, and channel partners (including distribution partners) across their Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) geography. As the Senior Partner Marketing Manager, this role sits within their global partner marketing organization, reports to the VP of global partner marketing, and has a dotted line into the APJ marketing leader. This person acts as the liaison between all global partner strategy and plans and our client’s partners in the APJ region. Key to this position is an understanding of channel partner marketing, technology partner marketing, demand marketing, field marketing, product and solution marketing and awareness building. Success of partner marketing activities is based on a variety of metrics such as marketing leads, sales leads, partner engagement metrics, joint pipeline development, and partner-influenced revenue.



Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Drives strategic marketing management of pan-regional partners; develops joint go-to-market plan with partner counterparts and coordinates regional activity with field marketing managers

  • Proactively represents APJ partner priorities (channel partners including distribution partners, strategic technology partners, GSI partners, etc.) with our client’s global teams including product marketing, campaign marketing, web team, global channel marketing and global alliance marketing

  • Responsible for pan-regional partner marketing programs, such as APJ-wide partner roadshows, incentives, etc.

  • Ensures global marketing campaign development is in alignment with APJ partner interest and opportunity; responsible for taking global campaign material and creating a kit for partners in region that can be easily executed

  • Understands partner business models to help shape the route to market strategy and ensure the appropriate sales teams are enabled

  • Responsible for pan-regional channel partner enablement program and strategy (for example APJ-wide training roadshows); Collaborates with APJ field marketing team to ensure regional execution

  • Drives co-development of joint strategic alliance partner go-to-market with APJ counterpart and Pure Storage global alliance marketing leader, including the execution of those plans in collaboration with both company’s field marketing teams and channel partners

  • Responsible for all communications to partners across APJ; Addresses sensitivities and priorities for regionals partners, in most cases a global version is developed first and needs to be adjusted and coordinated alongside activities occurring in the region

  • Garners partner support for major Pure Storage announcements; Supports PR and analyst activity with top APJ partners

  • Responsible for the management of APJ’s MDF platform and coordination of funding with field marketing managers

  • Co-develops success metrics and associated dashboards for reporting

  • Coordinates and maximizes partner involvement for our client’s events and industry events where they are participating.

  • Participates as a virtual team member on the APJ field marketing team and APJ partner sales team; is a dotted line report to the VP Marketing of APJ

 

Required Skills

  • 7-10+ yrs experience in an enterprise marketing role within the tech industry, preferably with some partner marketing experience

  • Understanding of a broad range of marketing activities and disciplines

  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal

  • Strong collaboration and relationship building skills

  • Track record of working with sales, channel partners, customers, field/global marketing, and analysts

  • High energy and passion with a “can do” attitude

  • Executes with urgency

  • Must be willing and able to work in an open office, team environment.

Preferred

  • Understanding of the storage industry, business applications, virtualization, and/or cloud, and their dependency on storage.

  • MBA
