Job Description

Role Purpose

- Plan and execute go to market strategies of VR products and related content, and support sell-in and subsequently drive sell through of the products and propositions in Japan

- Day to Day management of social, digital media and retail agency teams, including regular status meetings, overseeing media planning and leading campaign activations

- Maximize ROI of marketing spend to ensure that the brand and products/propositions get maximum exposure within a given period within their respective account, driving performance and achievement of business targets as well as ensuring adherence to global brand guidelines

 

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy, Plan & Execution

- Run the PDCA cycle below for VR-related marketing activities below

- PLAN quarterly marketing activities based upon market analysis and insights from disti and retail partners, for offline and online channels to maximise presence, drive sell-through and achieve impact within the target consumer audience that translates to sales

- DO execution of the marketing plan, engaging local marketing agencies for each activities

- CHECK performance of each marketing activity to maximize ROI (sell-out numbers) as well as brand awareness

- ADJUST marketing activities based on the result for the upcoming quarters

 

Budget

  • Plan and manage the quarterly budgets that are needed to execute the Marketing Plan throughout the business cycle, ensuring it is used to maximum effect.
  • Report on spend against defined KPIs to help with the analysis of impact and to inform future budget planning

 

Brand

  • Act as guardian of the brand for the account, managing its performance and exposure to the customer
  • Support the delivery of the brand targets in account as measured by the brand KPIs such as brand awareness, brand preferences

 

Relationships

  • Work with the Sales and PR/Marketing team in Japan as well as APAC team to integrate all VR product launches, brand and campaign activity
  • Build a network of contacts in order to maximise exposure within their respective account
  • Ensure there is a constant dialogue with the customer, working hand-in glove with disti and retail stores to ensure they are kept fully informed and any performance issues are resolved and opportunities are fully exploited

 

Requirements

  • Japanese (Native)
  • English (Business)
  • Experience in working/interning at a start-up or a small team is a plus
