Job Description

Objective

Support the development of my clients business as the fist person in Japan by providing first class service to an existing portfolio of clients and assisting with sales.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Managing Director with new business sales

  • Managing a portfolio of Companies administering employee share plans within a team framework

  • Interact with customers/clients on operational transactions related to their share plan program.

  • Execute the timely processing of operational transactions, including data management, reconciliation, processing, reporting and problem solving.

  • Organize, develop and maintain procedural and process documentation related to client companies’ program(s) to ensure accurate transaction processing and minimize risk.

  • Assist in identifying new system tools and enhancements to existing systems.

  • Implement projects to enhance business operations.

  • Act as a point of contact for Client Accounts.

  • Create and maintain excellent relations with key business partners.

  • Identify innovative client solutions.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with banking partners

  • Project management of key events affecting clients and their share plans

  • Monitor and maintain CRM tool (currently Dynamics) with up to date information at all times. This includes fees, contract start/end dates and call notes.

  • Negotiate client renewal contracts and fees

  • Deal with outstanding invoices where necessary and attend the regular internal calls to discuss progress on any outstanding amount

  • Contact clients by phone/face to face in accordance with agreed timescales

  • Co-ordinate all cross sell opportunities with the team leaders/head of operations to identify effort and present total cost of service to client.

  • Monitor our service against targets to ensure we are meeting client deliverables in accordance with the contract

  • Be the point of escalation for any client issue

  • Participate in networking events and relevant seminars

  • Carry out other duties and take on additional responsibilities as may be agreed from time to time

 

Required Skills

 

  • 3 years + sales, account management or client service in the Financial Services sector

  • Fluent English/Japanese

  • Knowledge of employee equity compensation matters.

  • Exceptional personal, listening, written and verbal communication skills

  • Superior critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills.

  • Success oriented spirit with focus on customer satisfaction

  • Project management experience with excellent organisational skills.

  • Ability to tailor message formats and contents to the audience and get heard.

  • Ability to lead and motivate, develop clear and creative solutions to complex problems and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Ability to understand customer requirements, identify, up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.

  • Able to operate in a fast-paced environment.
