Our client is a leading global provider of powerful cloud solutions for delivering and monetizing video across every connected device.
They are searching for an exceptional person to take a lead role in our sales efforts. Candidate should be passionate about technology and can take leadership in developing and managing relationships with corporate customers in Japan.
This position will report to the Tokyo-based Sales Director, Japan and work closely and collaboratively with internal team members including account management and professional services. The job involves frequent visit to prospects and customers, mainly in Tokyo.
- Sell products and services to new and existing customers.
- Create, implement and own a sales pipeline to manage customer lead intake, outbound activity, prioritization and metrics for measurement of deal status.
- Achieve sales goals each quarter.
- Continuously develop an extensive set of relationships at executive levels across companies and across industry categories.
- Prepare deal overviews and contract summaries for key stakeholders.
- 5+ years experience in sales/business development
- Experience in Digital Marketing
- Experience in online video platform a plus
- Proven track record of successful sales
- Demonstrated ability to instigate, carry through and close deals
- Demonstrated ability to be creative and think outside the box in terms of deal structure and framework
- An ability to assess client needs effectively and address needs
- A proven track record delivering on or exceeding revenue goals
- Strong technical knowledge and appreciation
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial startup in which cross-functional teamwork and initiative is a must
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Domain expertise in digital marketing
- Ability to read and write in English. (Oral fluency is a plus)
- Familiarity with Online Video Platform is a plus.
- Familiarity working with APIs and SDKs is a plus.
- Experience developing technical solutions is a plus.
- Familiarity with Marketing Automation Tools (Eloqua and Marketo) is a plus.
