Job Description

Our client is a global provider of financial software solutions for market technical analysis, charting, and electronic trading. The are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team in Tokyo, Japan.

 

The primary objectives of this position are to:

  • Proactively identify and establish contact with potential customers
  • Negotiate and close new business deals
  • Implement effective sales techniques
  • Ability to meet annual sales goals and targets
  • Maintain contact with new and existing customers

Responsibilities:

  • New Business Initiatives
  • Cold calling identified prospects
  • Identify and develop key relationships with Banks, FCM’s, and proprietary trading firms
  • Effectively deliver platform presentations to potential clients

Inside Sales

  • Work new telephone and website inquiries and convert to sales
  • Work customer referrals and convert to sales

Account Management

  • Gain a clear understanding of the client’s business & organization
  • Develop key relationships with decision makers
  • Push relevant product & service information to the client/prospect
  • Provide a regular presence at Key Account sites
  • Maintaining Customer Account Information

Customer Service

  • Software, Market data, and Order Execution Support
  • Billing Support
  • New Customer On boarding
  • On-site support for Key Accounts

Processes Owned:

  • New Customer On-boarding
  • Software Tutorials –basic and advanced
  • Customer Issue/Problem Resolution
  • Enablement/Account Modifications
  • Customer Communications
  • Customer Moves
  • New Systems Sales
  • Add-on Systems Sales
  • Value Added Services Sales
  • Disconnects
  • Upgrades:  Services, infrastructure
  • Regular “Touching Base” calls to inactive customers
  • Providing billing/contract explanations

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Business/Finance/ Marketing OR equivalent certification and work experience
  • Experience selling to and supporting customers in Financial Market Industry
  • Excellent customer service skills and a strong desire to work with people
  • Strong client-facing skills
  • Self Motivated and flexible to work unsupervised
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly innovative and proactive
  • Should have negotiation skills to work with various different customer types
  • Willing to travel when required
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
  • Established/existing networks and relationships
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Fluent in Japanese (written and spoken)
