Job Description

Our client is looking for a talented media expert with strong hands on experience on at least one biddable platform (ideally Paid Search) and overall knowledge of the Japanese media landscape (paid search, paid social, programmatic, Metasearch, and IO buying). As an essential part of the Digital Marketing team, you will be tasked with managing their ongoing campaigns, coordinating the efforts of their paid search agencies and managing biddable campaigns on Metasearch engines and potentially Facebook.

Main Responsibilities

  • Understand and adopt media buying best practices across multiple channels
  • Build and execute testing plans to gain learnings and improve campaign performance (responsible for hypothesis, test quality, writing up test results)
  • Work closely with agencies and freelancers to optimize Paid Search media buying on a daily basis
  • Manage cross channel campaign delivery consistently against goals, reallocate budget if needed
  • Manage Metasearch Engine bidding through WHIP Meta IO programmatic bidding tool (training provided)
  • Turn results into accurate and statistically sound analytics and reporting
  • Support Senior management in delivering solid analysis and in building the company’s path to success

Required Skills

  • Approximately 2-3 years’ experience in a digital media buying
  • Native Japanese is required, and Business English is also needed and will be used daily in an international environment
  • Expert level for at least 1 biddable channel, practitioner level for all other biddable channels (paid search, paid display platforms, paid social)
  • Strong analytical skills and a natural affinity for numbers is key; you must be able to analyze raw data, draw conclusions and develop actionable recommendations as needed
  • High attention to detail with an understanding of optimization levers and testing approaches across biddable platforms
  • A passion for everything digital, with an active interest and understanding of online advertising industry trends
  • High proficiency in Excel
