Job Description

Our client is a high-tech company developing, manufacturing, and marketing the production of products and solutions, including mask writers to produce photomasks and advanced surface mount technology equipment for use by the world’s leading electronics companies in the manufacture of displays used in PC tablets, smart phones, TVs and computers as well as in the manufacture of semiconductors and in electronic packaging. Products used by large and small makers of electronics, in aerospace, automotive, aviation, medical, IT and telecommunications.

They are looking for an experienced Accountant to join their team in Tokyo!

Primary Responsibilities

A) Finance & Accounting

  • General ledger, accounts payables, accounts receivables, inventory, fixed assets and cash management
  • Maintain intercompany transaction with HQ and other group companies
  • Maintain accounting record on M3 (ERP)
  • Prepare for Statutory closing
  • Prepare for financial statement audit by external auditor

B) Managerial Accounting

  • Budget process
  • Analysis the variance between actual and budget in monthly quarterly annual basis

C) Tax related Accounting

  • Prepare Tax return (Consumption tax, Business tax)
  • Transfer Pricing
  • Payroll tax for expats (individual income tax and tax return)

D) HR and Administration

  • Coordinate payroll and benefits program with external specialists
  • Some office support and general affairs

Required Skills

  • Good knowledge in local accounting standards
  • At least +10 years’ experience in a Finance & Accounting, local subsidiary as rather smaller organization (less than 50 employees) in multi-national industrial manufacturer
  • In charge of a wider role of Finance and Administration,
  • Boki 2nd class or equivalent level of accounting knowledge
  • Good English skills both spoken and written
  • Excellent Excel skills (Access is a plus)
  • Any type of ERP knowledge (M3 is an advantage)
  • Any tax knowledge such Transfer Price is a plus
  • Good communication and interpersonal skill to operate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Good team player with positive and supportive mind
  • Ability to communicate within an international finance team
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Willingness to learn and challenge oneself
