Our client is looking for a Media Director with a proven record of success working with both foreign and domestic clients. They are looking for someone who is comfortable planning, developing and managing media strategy for all kinds of media.
- Oversee the delivery of high quality media plans – set planning objectives and ensure strategies align with the global strategy.
- Attend annual media summits
- Oversee budget management and ensure transparency of media buying
- Presenting plans to local clients as well as global teams – in English and Japanese
- Keep up to date with industry trends relevant to the client’s business
- Innovate approaches to strategically reach target consumers
- Responsible for all media executions
- Ensure the highest quality of media execution
- Act as the local media expert
- Manage various teams and client relationships
- 5+ years in Media, experience at agency and managing international accounts is a must
- Extensive knowledge of the principles of advertising, media and marketing
- Passionate about media
- Proven effective people management experience
- Ability to convey complex ideas relating to media in everyday language
- Strong communication skills in both English and Japanese
- In depth understanding of local culture and ability to explain cultural differences to global teams.
