Job Description

Our client provides financial solutions and Managed Services to transform middle and back-office operations of financial institutions. Their clients include more than 70 of the world’s top 100 banks. They deliver greater efficiency, automation and control to critical post trade operations to achieve a lower cost-per-transaction while reducing operational risk, aiding compliance and improving customer service levels. 

Primary Position Responsibilities

  • Support the Japan Sales team in reaching their annual business objectives by identifying and pre-qualifying potential opportunities on existing customers and prospects and by providing consultative advise on multiple solutions, acting as a product champion and pivot between the relevant teams (pre-sales, product Line, professional service)
  • Work with the Head of Sales (Japan Country Manager) on defining strategies and solutions that will drive the business further, including working on cross-sell solutions or initiatives, acquiring sufficient knowledge of new products to demo them and probing the related markets
  • The Pre-sales will report locally to the Head of Sales and regionally to the Director of Business Solutions Group with exposure to the various Financial Market solutions and teams for building business synergies
  • The Pre-sales / Business Development Consultant will get exposure to our customer’s senior management to engage in business need discussion and discovery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•Direct support to the Sales Team (identifying and pre-qualifying potential opportunities, designing the complex solutions with relevant teams internally)

•Business development through market probing on new solutions and cross-sell opportunities

Required Skills

 - At least 3-5 years of experience in a customer facing environment such as sales, account management, or pre-sales, within the financial industry (client or vendor)

- Performing SQL statements

 - Basic understanding of technical architecture, e.g. what is a three tier architecture, what is a webserver used for

 - Experience with configuring financial systems either as a vendor or within a bank (this means not just using the system but understanding how to set parameters, make changes in workflows, etc.  We need specific knowledge on how configurations and parameterizations work)

- Strong experience in the financial markets

- Strong and broad experience of middle to back operations

- Broad financial solutions experience

- Strong knowledge in the full trade life cycle

- Sound IT knowledge regarding support the middle to back operations (Networks, FIX, markets)

- Experience in communicating with senior executives
