Job Description

Senior Account Manager is responsible for managing overall account team performance as it relates to client service and quality control on multiple, sizable pieces of business. S/he will understand Agency’s various consulting processes/approaches and capabilities, including public engagement (public relations), message workshops, master narrative assignments, brand engagement and stakeholder mapping exercises and will recommend them appropriately to clients and lead teams on plan implementation.  

  • Communications strategy development/creative ideation and planning (based on business insights)
  • Project management
  • Product launches and brand-building
  • Marketing communications, media relations and publicity
  • Coaching, skill development of junior staff
  • Corporate image development and reputation management
  • Issues and crisis management
  • Media training, crisis training and coaching
  • Marketing and purchaser behavior communications

  • Stakeholder and opinion leader communications
  • Corporate social responsibility programs
  • Internal communications and employee engagement

  • Stakeholder perception audits
  • Research and analysis
  • Basic social media understanding/skills

Required Skills

  • Japanese - Native level
  • English – Fluent
  • Ability to work cross-culturally with both Japanese and non-Japanese
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in public relations
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Public relations with another expertise is a plus
